Bunker Command Post in Bergfelde
Bunker in the border strip at the Bergfelde command post
To the west of the Bergfelde command post and to the north of the former watchtower lies an access road with a retaining wall to the entrance of the bunker structure, which lies below ground level. The bunker extends in an east-west direction and consists of an anteroom with steps leading to two lower-level rooms designed as a semicircular concrete shell structure. The three rooms are separated from each other by heavy metal doors, the rear one of which is a special pressure door and probably served to close off the area that was used as a weapons or storage room.
