Border lights and patrol path
Border lights along the former patrol path
The original lamp posts from the border lighting system still stand along the former patrol path. The lamp heads have been replaced and turned to face the former patrol path, which is now used as a footpath and cycle path. Traces of paint markings can still be seen on some of the posts. The red-white-green-white markings referred to the "front post marker" and indicated a line that border guards were not permitted to cross without prior authorisation.
